Many times, we may feel out of sorts when spending time with family. It’s a time when all our baggage could surface and mirror back to us our shortcomings and shortcomings of others!
I know that especially in blended families these scenarios could really heat up!
Here’s a few things I’ve done throughout this holiday season that seems to help me manage my crazy
EQ to the Rescue
1. I acknowledge my role within the family. My strength and weakness! How can I be of service?
2. I acknowledge that everyone has their own level of crazy and everyone is doing their best!
3. A few months ago, I started working on my inner peace regiment and these tools have helped me stay present and calm which has helped me during the various triggering moments!
4. Only “I” am responsible for my level of crazy so blaming others for triggering me will never bring me inner peace!
5. Practicing being grateful for the lessons and growth because that’s really the only reason for being here at Earth School
